I grew up in a Christian family with strong family values, values which center around children. I am happily married and have three daughters.  I Started learning piano at the age of 4, graduated from Hamilton Music Academy High School, and went on to CSUN with a BA in Piano Performance.  Studied with: Daniel Pollack (USC), Francoise Regnat(CSUN), and Jeanine Jacobson (CSUN).  I am a big dreamer and a doer. I love music, praise, kids, teaching, people, helping, community, planning, and organizing events. I want to teach my kids to be the light and salt in this broken world. I strive to teach my students hope using music and share the love of Jesus through piano.

Melanie is a terrific piano teacher to our 9 and 7 year old boys.  They both look forward to their weekly one-on-one lessons and are making excellent progress. She makes piano fun, and they learn without any frustration. Melanie is perceptive of the boys strengths and weaknesses and adjusts her teaching style to promote learning and music appreciation in each.  I highly recommend Melanie for her devotion to music and her ability to motivate young piano students.

My daughter is a sensitive girl but Melanie is able to instruct her in such a way that she learns and is loving her lessons and wants to practice extra to make her teacher proud. So thankful to have found a teacher who is more than qualified and makes learning piano fun!!!
